Problems (and solutions!)

ChairGun2

General Failure (on startup): 

Runtime error 429 or (sometimes) Error 2147023782
This occurs because Windows has not registered a .dll file properly - DAO360.DLL is usually the culprit so .... 
Open the 'run' dialogue on the Windows desktop and enter:

'regsvr32 DAO360.dll'

If it still doesn't work then try ...

'regsvr32 Scrrun.dll'  followed by .... 'regsvr32 Msvbvm60.dll'

If it still refuses to work then the VB6 Runtime files may be corrupt. The latest versions can be downloaded from Microsoft or from here.

Pellet List Management Problems ...

If ChairGun2 crashes (or refuses to operate properly) when accessing the Pellet List (i.e., clicking on any of the Pellet * buttons) then please download the latest Jet 4.0 Service Pack from Microsoft or from here.

If the Jet update fails then the next option is MDAC 2.5 but be warned that installing MDAC 2.5 may influence other installed applications. MDAC 2.5 may be impossible to remove from your Windows installation.

ChairGun Mobile (CGM)

Make sure that the PDA has the latest PPC runtime files installed. The setup package contains the file 'msvbppc.arm4.cab' - simply copy the file onto a convenient location on your PDA and tap on it. This will install all of the necessary runtime files.
